Cassells Lighthouse is located in the diocese of Cassells in the city of Almada on the other side of the Tagus River. The lighthouse began operating on December 31, 1885 for the purpose of indicating the southern boundary of the anchorage on the Tagus River, an area where there was a lot of fog; Although the lighthouse was not working, it was restored in 2009, as it is an important part of the heritage of the city of Almada.
