In 2007, on the occasion of the seventieth anniversary of the establishment of the Directorate of Internal Affairs of Belarus, the Brest Militia Museum was opened. The museum contains 5 small rooms, each of which tells the history of construction, achievements, services and management personnel who defended the city during the Great Patriotic War. Visitors to the museum can get acquainted with the uniforms of internal affairs personnel from different periods, as well as learn about the organizations that cooperated with the Directorate of Internal Affairs of the Brest region throughout the history of its existence.
