A wonderful botanical garden located in the heart of the city and near the Aare River. It is a very spacious garden with an area of 5 hectares (one hectare is equivalent to 4200 square meters). There are about 6000 species of plants in the garden, some of which grow outdoors and others in greenhouses. These distinctive plants were brought from different regions and environments around the world. Near all the plants you will find lists explaining about the plant, its ways of living and where it grows. The garden also offers many resting places, and a restaurant where you can have delicious meals.
