Information about Botanical Garden of the University of Cagliari
It is a botanical garden operated by the University of Cagliari and opened in 1866 under the supervision of Professor Patricio Gennari. It contains about 2,000 species, most of which are from the Mediterranean region, which represent species from Australia, California and Chile. The garden also includes a plastic greenhouse in which about 1000 species of plants grow from different regions of the world between African and American origin, in addition to a group of tropical plants. The park contains about 600 trees and 550 shrubs, in addition to a large area of about 4000 square meters covered with a group of palm trees.
