Information about Roman Amphitheatre
An ancient Roman amphitheater located in the city of Cagliari dating back to the second century AD. The amphitheater is distinguished by its unique construction method, as half of it was hewn in the rock, while the other part was built of local white limestone with a facade more than 20 meters high. It is a large meadow that accommodates about 8000 spectators. The amphitheater also has a large square with an area of about 1124.27 square metres. This square witnessed many battles that took place in the city, in addition to being the seat of the public execution in Cagliari.
