The National Archaeological Museum in Cagliari includes a rich collection of artifacts from the Byzantine era, along with a large collection of prehistoric bronze statues from the Nuragic era, in addition to some stone statues of goddesses, and the museum includes a section that provides examples of Carthaginian goldsmithing and Roman ceramics Italian and Byzantine jewelry. The museum includes a set of anatomical wax statues made by the sculptor Clemente Susini, and the collection was originally kept in the Museum of Natural History and Archeology, then it was transferred to the University of Cagliari in 1858, and then to the museum in 1991 AD.
