The exhibition is being held in Ban Tawai village, which is located about 16 km southwest of the old city of Chiang Mai. For this reason, it is not surprising that locals refer to the gallery as Ban Tawai Village Wood Carving Gallery. Needless to say, this village is the focal point for woodworking artisans from all over Chiang Mai. The Wood Fair also features plenty of other activities including cultural performances, a wood carving competition, a cooking competition, as well as the sale of handmade items. Visitors will be able to get close to wood lovers and watch these artists as they craft and sculpt these intricate pieces and how they decorate them.
