The unique Amber Museum is located in a former Gothic Renaissance prison (Foregate). The building consists of a prison tower and torture chambers, and some realistic displays of torture chambers are held. The museum houses an invaluable collection of amber artifacts and artwork, in addition to everything related to the history, properties and treatment of amber through time (from the earliest times to the present day).
