Amasya Castle is located on Mount Harsina, which forms the northern horizon of the city center. The massif on which the castle was built rises 300 meters from the city center and 700 meters above sea level. The castle was distinguished by a unique architectural design that makes it appear today as a masterpiece, with fortified walls, watchtowers, training strongholds, and stone decorations and inscriptions engraved on all the castle gates.
