Ali Saeb Pasha was an Ottoman vizier who lived in the nineteenth century and was born in Talas in the province of Kayseri. He received his education in this town and was sent to Istanbul. When he became a vizier, he did not forget his hometown, so he built some distinctive monuments in it, one of which is this beautiful mosque that was named after him. It is a charming mosque characterized by its stone pillars and suspended wooden ceilings, and gives its visitors a feeling of spirituality and tranquility.
