The port of Acre is one of the oldest and most important historical ports in Palestine. Today, it is located within the Israeli Northern District, on the eastern shore of the Mediterranean Sea. At the beginning of the last century, after the development of the Haifa port adjacent to it, Acre’s port became a secondary port for the use of medium and small fishing boats, and its neglect increased by Israel’s decision to prevent large ships from docking on it after the Nakba, after it was one of the most important Palestinian ports that lead to the outside world. It has a long history and the highest meanings of Ottoman architecture are manifested, so do not miss the opportunity to visit it if you are a fan of history.
