Znojmo is a fortified town in the South Moravian region of the Czech Republic. It is famous for its historical buildings in the Romanesque style and dating back to the Middle Ages, especially Znojmo Castle positioned on the top of the hill, in addition to containing many churches surrounded by the city walls. The town has preserved the character of the Renaissance To this day, it is filled with winding lanes, romantic views and picturesque angles. Although Znojmo is located on a huge rock overlooking the Diji River Canyon, it is a good agricultural area, characterized by crops, vineyards and many types of fruits and vegetables, as well as light industries such as ceramics, shoes and textiles, and has a dry and warm climate in general. A mere stroll among the sights of this historic town and its red-tiled houses is a wonderful experience in itself, not to be missed.
