Plague Column, is a historical monument, to commemorate the painful plague that afflicted the Czech state in the historical period, between the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. The plague column of the town of Znojmo is a scalloped lime stone base, with a statue of St. Nicholas, and 3 other saints on the four corners of the base, and at the top of the column is a statue of the Virgin Mary.
