Thiruvananthapuram or Trivandrum is the capital of the Indian state of Kerala, and it is a very beautiful city located on the western coast of India. The city that Mahatma Gandhi called the “Green Indian City” is distinguished by its undulating terrain, low coastal hills, and busy commercial alleys. It is the largest city in Kerala in terms of area and population, with a population of 1.68 million. It is the state's IT hub, with more than 80% of the country's software experts based. The city also includes many government offices and institutions, and there are many educational institutions at the University of Kerala, and many scientific and technological institutions, including the Sarabhai Space Center, Techno Park, the Indian Institute of Technology and Space Sciences, and many others. It is a city full of monuments, where you will find many buildings left over from British colonialism, as well as many old Indian buildings.
