An amazing zoo in the heart of Trivandrum, one of the oldest zoos in India, was established in 1857. It was renovated in 1995. The zoo houses about 82 species of animals brought from different regions around the world including the black-tailed macaque , nilgiri langur, Indian rhinoceros, Asiatic lion, royal bengal tiger, white tiger, Asian elephants, giraffes, hippos, and zebras. There is also a snake farm and a reptile house. Moreover, the park is also rich in picturesque landscapes, where you will find many types of trees and plants, and you will find many places to sit and picnic.
