Konya is a city located south of Ankara in the Turkish Central Anatolia Region. It is a pilgrimage destination for Sufis, which focuses on the tomb of the founder of the Mawlana Tariqa, Jalaluddin Rumi in the Maulana Museum. The Whirlpool Sufi Drama Ceremony takes place at the Maulana Cultural Centre, east of the Museum. The 12th-century Aladdin Mosque is surrounded by green gardens on Aladdin Hill.
