Located in a beautiful green valley, Derby is nicknamed 'the smallest city in Belgium'. Or even "the smallest city in the world". This city is full of cobbled alleys, solid sandstone buildings, handicraft shops and charming restaurants, which directly aim to attract tourists from different countries of the world to enjoy its beauty and do many organized activities in the open air. This city is a favorite destination for visitors to Wallonia, to wander its small cobbled streets and see the beautiful wooden frame houses. This small town was awarded the prestigious Eden Award for Distinguished European Destinations in 2003. Derby can get a bit crowded on sunny Sundays, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't visit it. Its most famous landmarks are: Afori Castle, Megalith House (archaeological rocks), Petit Som Castle, and many others.
