One of the oldest churches in Belgium, St Wahlberg Church, was built in the eleventh century. The church contains many works of art of high quality, as well as a blue stone thetheca (Eucharistic monument), a 16th-century holy water jar, numerous statues dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries, as well as many ancient tombs. This church is considered an important historical destination in the city of Derby.
