Monte de Pinzhi is a nature reserve that contains many types of mushrooms, insects and small rodents. This reserve is a promontory consisting mainly of dolomitic limestone, surrounded by the valleys of Aisne and Orta, south of Boumal-sur-Oort. This promontory was completely removed and then planted, and later handed over to the sheep pasture. Subsequently, the vast limestone meadows were planted with black pine trees from Austria (from the end of the 19th century).
