This scenic city is located in the southwest of Doha, and is the second largest city in the country, with an area of 190 km. It is one of the cities richest in culture and history, as it was the official seat of government in the old days after its establishment by the ruler Sheikh Hassan Abdullah bin Qassim bin Muhammad Al Thani, and therefore there are many historical monuments of great importance from that era, including many castles, forts and buildings on Old Gulf style. It is also a city rich in picturesque natural features, unlike the neighboring cities, the soil of this city is fertile and not desert, and in it tourists will find one of the largest parks in the Arabian Gulf.
