Qatar National Library is responsible for preserving the national heritage of the State of Qatar by collecting, preserving and making the written heritage and history of the country available to all. In general, Qatar National Library provides all citizens and residents of the State of Qatar with equal opportunities to benefit from its facilities, equipment and services that support creativity and independence in decision-making among its patrons and develop their cultural knowledge. In addition to full-text electronic resources, there are more than 1 million printed books currently in the library's collections and more than 500,000 electronic items ranging from books, periodicals, newspapers and other materials, as well as private collections. In addition to the above, the library's staff is distinguished by its expertise in teaching, scientific research skills, information awareness, programs and knowledge management.
