Anfeh is located on the coast of Koura District in the North Lebanon Governorate, and is bordered to the west by the Mediterranean Sea, with a height of about 100 m above sea level, and a population ranging between six and seven thousand people. As for the origin of the name, it comes from “the nose”, in reference to the head of the castle of Anfeh, which enters the sea in the form of a long nose. The town is distinguished by its geographical location and natural terrain, especially the three sea heads; These are Ras Al Natour, the archaeological head of the Citadel, and Ras Al Malaleh, as well as the bays and natural anchorages for boats. The town of Anfeh gained its fame due to its geographical location as a peninsula on a rocky shore that is ancient in history, and it has been, through the ages, a strategic station for the settlement of peoples and an attractive point for invaders and passersby. Which made his nose stand out.
