The state of Tiaret is considered an ideal destination for lovers of history and antiquities, as it hides a huge archaeological site that includes Roman remains and ancient Berber shrines, the most famous of which is the pyramids of Tiaret or the Veranda Wall, which were built between the fourth and seventh centuries AD, and still attract the attention of researchers who are doing their best to solve their mystery. The state is nicknamed locally as “the paradise of the purebred horse,” as it is famous for the “Chaouchaoua barn,” which constitutes the largest center for horse breeding in Africa and the first Arab scientific laboratory that interbreeds purebred Arabian and Berber horses.
