Port Said Governorate is one of the governorates of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and its capital is Port Said. It was initially established as a city in 1859 AD, and was called the “All-Channel Governorate.” Its history remained influenced by Egypt’s political history, and this is confirmed by its role during the British occupation of Egypt, and then the tripartite aggression. In which Port Said's guerrilla role became prominent until the aggressors were evacuated, the day is considered the governorate's national holiday. It is characterized by a distinctive geographical location, terrain and fertile agricultural land suitable for agriculture, as the governorate is described as agricultural.
