Mpumalanga is the place where the sun shines, and it is the jewel of South Africa, as it sits in the middle and is surrounded by Mozambique and Swatini on its eastern borders, Limpopo to the north, Gauteng to the west, and KwaZulu-Natal and the Free State to the south. This region is home to a diverse landscape, with vast valleys, ever-flowing rivers, magnificent mountains and dense forests. Perhaps one of the most unique features of Mpumalanga is the Blyde River Valley Nature Reserve, one of the largest canyons in the world, a large gorge with steep green hills resting on rocky cliff faces as the river passes by.
