The state of Guelma, numbered twenty-four within the Algerian states, its capital is the city of Guelma, and it is famous for its rural and agricultural character, due to the beauty and abundance of its natural areas, and its geographical location that allows the Sibus River to pass through it, in addition to a group of mountains and green plains, which attract tourists to it for recreation. Away from the hustle and bustle of life, the state also includes a number of archaeological monuments dating back to the Roman era, including the Roman swimming pool of Hetheopolis, the remains of Roman baths, and others.
