The Roman theater located in the heart of the city of Guelma is one of the most important ancient tourist sites that attract tourists from inside and outside Algeria. It was built between the twelfth and thirteenth centuries during the reign of Emperor Septemus by the nun Anya Elia Stiterta. It is considered one of the rare historical artifacts around the world in terms of engineering and architecture, as it features rocky balconies intended for Roman dignitaries and the general public, with a large wooden platform dedicated to fighting predators, and the theater can accommodate about 4,500 people.
