The state of Beja represents a central axis between the coast and the west of the country. It contains the main roads linking eastern and western Green Tunisia and the railway linking the city of Tunisia to the Algerian border. Some of its cities extend over the hills and part of the coastal plains, which means the diversity of its nature and terrain, and it also includes many sites. Ancient archaeological sites, as some ancient civilizations and empires resided there.
