A must-visit is the impressive and historic Yazidbad Castle, located near the city center. It is a medieval Sassanid fortress built only of mud. The castle was named after the last Sassanian king, “Yezdred III.” Many locals and tourists visit this castle due to its beauty and impressive architectural style. At the top of the castle are the old defenders erected to defend the city, and inside there are many wonderful archaeological pieces and sculptures that you will never find, and you can tour its squares to learn more about its distinctive history and importance.
