Information about Wat Phra Sing
Wat Phra Singh is one of the oldest temples in Chiang Rai. It was built in 1385, just over a century after the founding of Chiang Rai by King Mengrai in 1262. The main structures of the temple are Lanna style, and there is a small temple containing Footprints of Buddha and Koti. The temple also houses a gilded Sinhalese-style Chidi. It consists of a square base with small shrines containing Buddha statues and a spiral top.
