Information about Wat Phnom Temple
Wat Phnom Temple is located on top of a hill covered with trees at a height of 27 meters. According to legend, the first pagoda was built on this site in 1373 AD to house four Buddha statues. The main entrance to the temple is a large staircase guarded by lions, and to the west of it there is a huge stupa containing the king’s ashes.
