Information about National Library of Cambodia
The French colonial administration opened the National Library of Cambodia in 1924 with an initial collection of 2,879 books, mostly in French, and the first Cambodian director was appointed in 1951. Today, the library owns about 103,635 copies in different languages such as Khmer, French, English and German, and its private collections include 8,327 national documents, including documents published in French between 1925 and 1970, in addition to some books and documents published in the Khmer language dating from 1955-1975, among others. a lot.
