Centered around a temple of the same name, about 2 km south of Battambang city centre, Wat Kaur is a great place to wander especially in the late afternoon when the sun bathes the east bank of the Sanker River in amber hues and the bright platinum towers of Wat Kaur glow. This village is set on a group of Khmer heritage houses that were built from rare hardwoods over a century ago and surrounded by gardens.
