Battambang is the second largest city in the Kingdom of Cambodia and is located on the Sangki River. It is famous for French colonial buildings with stunning architecture such as the Sala Khait building - the residence of the former ruler -. You can visit the Battambang Provincial Museum, which contains artifacts from the local Khmer temples, and enjoy a school Circus and performing arts Far Bunleo Selpak for marginalized children, and to the north of the center are the ruins of Ek Phnom, an 11th-century Buddhist temple with sandstone carvings.
