Information about Wadi Al-Assiut Protectorate
Assiut Valley is an exceptional reserve in Assiut Governorate in Egypt. It was established during 1989 as a result of a joint project between Assiut University in Egypt and the University of Arizona in the United States of America. It is located about 400 km from Cairo, with an area of about 35 km², and consists of two parts; One is for breeding wild animals and protecting endangered animals, and another part for growing different types of plants and studying their genes.
