The Vracánsky Balkan Nature Park is the second largest in the country, covering Mount Vracánsky and the rocky slopes of Katnischki, with an area of 28,844 hectares, most of which is covered with karst limestone. Its plants, including more than 80 rare and endangered species, and 214 species of vertebrates, and from a scientific point of view, the most interesting species in the park are the groups that live in caves (vertebrates and bats) and birds of prey.
