These tunnels were first constructed in World War II as air raid shelters, and also provided shelter for up to 10,000 people. As early as the thirteenth century, they were used as old beer stores where the temperature of the underground tunnels reaches about 11 degrees Celsius, making them a suitable environment for storage. Today, it has become a landmark and a destination for visitors, as excursions and tours are organized here on a regular basis.
