Cappadocia's Twin Fairy Chimneys is a surreal landscape of towering rock formations carved into two huge chimneys, changing color with each sunset. These rock formations have made Cappadocia one of Turkey's most popular destinations due to a geological process that began millions of years ago. Ancient volcanic eruptions covered the area with thick ash, which later solidified into soft rock called "tuff", when the natural forces of wind and water (erosion) did their work. These chimneys extend up to 130 feet into the sky.
