The old town hall of Kranj consists of two connected buildings, the house in the corner is the oldest and contains a storage room for goods sold at fairs, and the building on the right side with the great entrance in the main square is one of the most beautiful castles of the Renaissance in Slovenia, which arose in the period Between the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, there are three permanent exhibitions in it: the Iron Thread Gallery, the Folklore Gallery in Gornicka, and the collection of the sculptor Lojze Dolinar. Exhibitions are held for a number of local artists on an ongoing basis.
