The collection of the Stanley Spencer Gallery includes a number of paintings, mostly depicting Christian religious scenes inspired by the Bible. This gallery was opened specifically in memory of the well-known British artist Stanley Spencer, who lived most of his life in Berkshire and inspired some of his artworks from its charming nature and buildings stoneware.
