New Coimbra Cathedral is the current episcopal seat of Coimbra, and is located near the historic University of Coimbra in the upper part of the city. It is faced with statues of four Jesuit saints, and the Baroque decoration of the upper part of the facade, completed at the beginning of the eighteenth century, contrasts with the lower part, which follows the strict Nahjism style.
