The Czech National Museum is the largest museum in the Czech Republic. It consists of five specialized departments that include the Museum of Natural History, the Historical Museum, the Czech Museum of Music, the Naprstek Museum and the Library of the National Museum. The collections of the National Museum are extensive and can be seen in many buildings in Prague and non-Prague. The museum located within one of the most important buildings in Prague was declared a National Cultural Landmark in 1962, and is loved by Czechs and admired by foreigners, and is closely associated with modern Czech history.
