Wenceslas Square is the commercial and administrative center of Prague, as well as the site of important social and historical events. It was created during the founding of the new city by Charles IV in 1348, and is dominated today by the National Museum and Josef Václav Myslbek's statue of the patron National St Wenceslas from 1912, you will also find a range of cinemas, theatres, banks, hotels, restaurants, dozens of small and large stores and administrative centers.
