It is a distinctive and unique museum and gallery that displays the interiors of the noble houses of Kraków's wealthier, from the 17th to the 19th century. The basement always contains an interesting temporary exhibition which is usually associated with some aspects of traditional life in Krakow centuries ago such as Polish cuisine in the 18th century and fashion in the 19th century.
