During the 16th century, the Venetians helped Zadar resist the Turkish siege by building a large drinking-water cistern with five decorative wellheads, and when the Turkish threat was over, a garden was built on top of the nearby stronghold. Nowadays, the attractive stone-flagged park is an ideal gathering point for skiers and tourists, a must-visit when you come here!
