It is the National Museum of Phuket built in 1985. It houses a large collection of ancient artifacts from the long history of Phuket, some very old pottery and a collection of stones, re-presenting the Battle of Thalang, and the exhibits include a display of daily life during the tin mining boom of the 19th century. The museum operates under the organization of the Department of Antiquities, and is the fifteenth Museum of Fine Arts in the Ministry of Culture.
