Information about Ten Boom Museum
An interesting museum, originally a house belonging to the Dutch Tin Boom family, which was specialized in the watch trade. During the Nazi occupation of Haarlem, the family provided a safe haven for Jews and other survivors underground, or in a hiding place built especially for them. Later also, thanks to their social network, they smuggled the refugees until they were betrayed. Only one survivor of this family was left and she was able to tell their story and write many manuscripts about what she went through in her life. This museum was opened on her birthday in 1988, which shows you the place where the Jews hid. of classic Dutch architecture.
