Information about Tainan Astronomical Education Area
Most of the astronomy museums were located in northern and central Taiwan before, which reduced educational opportunities for students in the south. Therefore, the Tainan Provincial Government decided to build an astronomy museum in 2002, and the summit of Dani Mountain was chosen to be the museum's location. The museum includes 3 buildings and many environmentally friendly corridors. Visitors can live an unrepeatable experience of observing the stars, falling meteors, the sky and many rare astronomical phenomena, as the museum includes telescopes and modern equipment specially equipped for these purposes.
