Tahta Minari Mosque is located in the famous Balat neighborhood near the Golden Horn in Istanbul. According to the inscription carved near its gate, it was built in 1458 by Sultan Mehmet the Conqueror, making it one of the oldest mosques in Istanbul to this day.
