The Tapan Art Cinema was the first motion picture theater on the Buda side, founded by Manó Pécsi in the 2000s and to this day remains the only art cinema on this side of the Danube; Before it got its current name in 1990, it was called Pallotta, Christina and Diedel, but the name was not the only thing that has changed over the years. In 2014, the cinema went through a series of renovations where the entire interior was renovated and the latest digital and audio system added to it.
